This week's missionary focus:
Our congregation engages with others both locally and around the world.
For example, we hosted missionary Caroline Kurtz who works in Ethiopia, and in a week raised enough money to install solar power in 10 homes in a village that has no electricity.
Recently we received a Covid-19 recovery grant that we multiplied and sent to the Kindness Club in Dallas, challenging them to use it as leverage for more donations. They have seen a huge uptick in school-age children in need during this spring and summer of 2020.
<<<< We support other Presbyterian missionaries around the world and select one of them to learn about and pray for each week.
We engage with small farmers throughout the world by using, and providing for purchase, fair traded coffee, tea, chocolate, and snacks. Equal Exchange is our providing partner for these goods, and they are available in our Narthex for purchase every day that the building is open.
The Dallas Indoor Play Park is a local mission of our congregation housed in the downstairs of our 'office' building. Please see it's special page on this website: Indoor Play Park
